Where did you go to use AAA buying service?

I was told by AAA in St. Louis that they stopped the buying program recently. I used it in 2004 to buy a Subaru.

I just called AAA here in So Cal. I know two people that purchased last week thru AAA referalls. You can also go to the AAA website which will email you participating dealerships. I would still speak to a AAA rep so that they can explain what the dealer can and can't do. I walked away from the dealership at first, explained to AAA what had happened 2 days later that dealership begged me to come back and purchase the vehicle. I got some free accessories over the headache!

Honda sells more Accord hybrids than people here seem to think. Total Honda hybrid sales (Civic, Accord, Insight) for 2005 were 43,358. See:

We can assume some increase in 2006 to perhaps 50,000. So the tax credit should be safe through 2006. It might be reduced to 50% by the second or third quarter of 2007. That's my guess.

It'll be interesting to see how Prius and HCH sales are affected in the fourth quarter of 2006 when the credit for the Prius begins phasing out and the HCH still has the full credit.

Interesting. Knowing that Civic sales are about 25K and Insight sales are around 1K, it is hard to believe HCH sales are above 20K. I wonder where they got their data.

Yes, demand for hybrids will outpace supply for many years.
Everything about the 2006 is better than the 2005.

What is astonishing to me is why Honda didn't bump up the price about $5000 for the 2006.
I would have paid it.
It's worth it.
