Looks like Honda put there name badge over a Toyota (a push botton start..how original). I would have thought Honda would of come up with something different and radical (like when they unveiled the Insight years back and people asked "what the hell is that????!!!!!!").
The car does look awsome. and I looking foward to a test drive.

I also read somewhere that the new HCH will be 5% more efficient over the current model which will boost MPG up to Prius specs. It will be Toyota's planetary gears VS Honda's IMA technology....the race is on.

Great looking car, and some nifty ideas (like the rear seats that fold down OR up!).
I just wish they would offer the IMA in the hatchback, not just the sedan!

Under the "Power" menu item, it says IMA is available. Since the car on display is the hatchback, I'm assuming they mean IMA is available in the hatchback.

Tons of cars have used start buttons. My roommate's 1962 MG had a start button. My 2000 Honda S2000 has a big red start button. Probably tons more. Honda did not copy Toyora with the start button.

One comment on that, this is the Civic, Honda's bread and butter vehicle i really dont think they could afford to do anything too shocking. I have a feeling that sometime w/in the next year we'll catch wind of something the Honda Engineers are cooking up.

I really found the shaved look on the rear doors to be really interesting. At first I though it was just a 3 door, but there is a gap were the rear door would be so i wonder how one goes about opening it.

Looks like the door handle is in the corner of the door where the window ends. Looks like something Nissan uses on the Pathfinder.

As for the looks of the car, I read somewhere that the hybrid version was to take on a different look from the other Civics. Something that would stand out (like what Toyota did for the Prius 2) as a hybrid vehicle. Unless the hatchback version is only offered to hybrids, looks like the hybrid badge will tell them apart.

I also read that Toyota is planning on introducing a Camry hybrid in the near future to compete with the HAH. With more interior room in the Prius 2, I wonder what the Camry will have to offer besides more power and less MPG.
