Default Scotch Guard

With my new 06 HCH2.. is it worth pickup up a can or two of Scotch Guard and protecting the seats?

Anyone else do this? Does it affect the color? Other issues?

I guess the material is already rather stain resistant, but I want to make sure if this is worth my time/effort.

Ohh, I would like to know also as I have the blue interior but the doors have the beige on them and they are getting a little stained. Please share your info if you have done this.

Right after I purchased the car I went to Target to get a can of Scotch Guard. I just needed one can and had some leftover. I was worried about the beige fabric on the side of the doors. But, it has been holding up pretty well. It doesn't hurt to reapply it every couple of months I suppose. The color didn't change or anything when I put it on there.

One of our cars has the blue interior and the other the beige colour. I applied Scotchguard to both cars including the doors.

I believe it makes sense to do it. I did test both as per the directions on the can and there was no discolouration.

Katz6768,

Have you driven the two cars on the same commute, with similar temp, cruise , etc? Just wondered how close they are in FE. You would be a hit at the Wisconsin Hybridfest!

Regards,
