are other HCH II owners in Australia having this issue? I am after 3,000km!

Steve...have you seen the reports of this issue on the American cars? It's curious to find that the problem is International. I would suggest you call your Honda Customer Care line and report your problem and demand a case number. Thus you will be joining us in our quest for a fix! Keep us updated.

yes I aware of the reports on the US issue, is it a problem with the expansion/contraction of the spoiler relative to the boot lid?

There has been no official diagnosis. And no official fix yet, either. Both of those things are because Honda has yet to admit that this problem exists to any substantial extent.

I suggest reporting your problem to Honda directly and making sure you get a case number of some kind. Let us know what kind of response you get.
