Re: Tint
The tint does look very nice, but be sure to know your state's codes, as well as neighboring state codes regarding window tint.
They've recently began enforcing a new tint law here in Georgia where people are being ticketed for +30% obstruction. (Non-factory tinting) In some areas 40 tickets a day per officer, and a great many are from out of state.
You may not live near Georgia but if you plan on ever going out of your own state it would be good (And less expensive) to know for sure.
Efficient drivers do it better.

Re: Tint
Is the windshield tinted too, or is that just an optical illusion from all the other windows being so dark?

Re: Tint
It does look like an optical illusion, but the windshield is tinted as well. The tinting place told me that all of the shades were in legal limit for texas. You can actually tint the back 100%, but it's hard to look through at night. I think my back window is dark enough.

Re: Tint
I had mine tinted today. In CA tinting the front windows heavily is illegal, so I only tinted them lightly. The back was tinted more. It was expensive at $275 but I wanted top of the line film and worksmanship with a guarantee.
And it looks gorgeous. I am very pleased, will try to get some pictures up soon.

Re: Tint
Jeff,
What % tint did you end up going with on your windows. I am trying to get mine done, but not sure what tint level I want yet.

Re: Tint
I live in one of the hottest parts of California (the central valley) where we normally have about 10-20 days over 100 per year. I got the middle tint (I think the percentage is 35 or 50, I can't recall which) all the way around (except the windshield).
I posted some pictures of the car on the GreenHybrid 'share' area, here:
http://www.greenhybrid.com/share/category6.html
... or individual pictures here:

I do believe that tinting has made a difference, although it is hard to quantify, since once you get it done, you can't compare it to before.

Re: Tint
I went with a step or 2 above the lightest tint. Got my windows tinted in Sep. 03 for $100. It is a reflective tint as well. The angle in the picture makes it seem lighter than it actually is.
