You know, I thought a lot about that and decided to cast a wider net to get the tires I wanted (Continental, which I know are LRR tires). Continental had said they were not producing the CV95 until December, which is why I was willing to compromise. Then I remembered your story and renewed my motivation!
My local Discount Tire found a set in Ohio and they are on their way! They won't be here until next week, but I'll get the ones I want. Thanks!!!

Tim,
Interested in your experience as you 'beta' these new tires and wheels. Rolling / tire noise reduction would be terrific if I coudl do it without affecting FE. Let me know!
Thanks...

Lansing,
They went on yesterday. I'll be starting a new thread tonight with the pictures and summary, along with first driving impressions (was too dark last night to take decent pictures). Look for something tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks!

I did (on the drive home from the tire place) - I'll include the data in tonight's post, but they are (drum roll please....)
14.125 lbs (14 1/8 lbs). This was measured on a doctor's scale.

So is this the K1 you mentioned earlier that was "supposed" to be 10.6 pounds? I had the old 6-spoke Kosei K1's in 15x7 on my 88 and they were about 14 pounds each as well. Is this the style you got?

Re: Tires & Wheels on my '05 HCH
No, mine are six dual-spoke wheels (it's the K-1 TS, a bit different from the K-1 racing pictured above). You can see here: The site, however, incorrectly lists them at 12.6 lbs in a 15". The Kosei site lists it at 4.9kg (10.78 lbs) - this I verified on a scale to be correct. Pics should be posted this evening.

HA!
I had them take one tire off for no other reason than to find out the rim weight. I had to know. I would have seriously been up nights wondering. I'm a sick, sick man...
