Default Top speed!

This evening I was racing around and not caring about mileage and thought, I wonder how fast this thing would go? Anyone push it? I've done 86 or so. I know stupid, but just curious what this baby can do? Anyone push a hunski?

***hypermilers please disregard***

I know the speedo will indicate atleast 90mph....

I drove about 30 miles probably averaging 80mph, touching 90mph a couple times, and at the end of that high speed sortie/commute the display said I averaged something like 34-37mpg lol. Still way better than most cars.

I've gone 88 miles per hour when driving in the desert between San Diego and Phoenix, but I didn't like the handling of the car at that speed. And mileage plummeted, but the drive is too long and straight not to go fast.

We need someone who lives out near the Montanabahn My fastest so far was about 75 coming down a hill in WV. There really aren't any places around here where I can just open it up and see where it gives up, and a 1/4mi isn't enough to see just how fast it'll go before needing the brakes.

.

Someday I might even beat that wascally kenny!

HA HA. I've done 110 miles per hour in the car. And definitely 100 at least 5 or 6 times....

I had a dump truck bust my window on my '03 a month after I got it. He knew he did it and did a fake exit where he swerved back onto the interstate and I got stuck on the exit so I had to reenter the interstate. I "needed" to speed to catch him so I did it. Hit 105 before I started catching up with traffic and chose not to go at extreme speeds around other people so I backed off. Never caught the culprit but I did get the company name who never paid up and my insurance took a hit because of it. It's been 3 years but I will pay them a visit when I get around their portion of the country again. Sorry to stray off topic. Short answer: didn't get top speed but did get 105.

I pushed her up to 67 once.

My MPG dropped so I brought her back down to earth.

Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

87.My boss is forever teasing me for driving slow. I usually drive 55-70, and he is amused. He has a lead foot. So I went fast and took a pic of the dash! He said I had no proof it was really my car. Hybrid had no difficulty getting up that high. Faster I ever drove was on 1-95, Summer of 1986, driving home late at night from work with my older brother. We worked at the same McDonald's, and shared a 1973 Chevy Impala with our other brother. One night we decided to see what that big old hunk of Detroit steel could really do. It could do quite a lot as I recall. Something around 120. How we were not killed or pulled over I have no idea.

LOL! I've got a co-worker with a lead foot who ends up behind me going into work on occasion. He sighs and says, "if you go zero miles per hour, you get infinite mpg".
