Default Wiper Replacement - Non-Honda Success!

Just a FYI. I have read all of the threads here on wiper replacement. The consensus seemed to be that you have to replace the wipers with the expensive wiper refill from Honda because no after-market blades work. After some trial and error, I found that the Michelin Optimum wiper blade line fits our car. 26" for the driver side and 22" on the passenger side. The only downside is that the little plastic cover piece at the end of the wiper arm will no longer fit after installing the new Michelin blade. Its a cosmetic piece only so its no loss to me, but that fact might matter to others. Oh, and the wipers are less than $20 apiece at Target and come with a $10 rebate right now if you buy a set.

Take a picture, so that we can see what it looks like now. I would hate to pay more $$$$ when its really not needed.

expensive wiper refill? I paid 11 bucks the other day for both driver and passenger rubber insert. Took me 5 mins to change them both? I thought it was a good deal vs buying a whole new assembly, like the Bosh Icon blades (30 bucks each). What are you guys paying for the refills?

Hummm... that is very interesting.

The wiper refill's for the HCH-II cost $7.49 each at my local dealership. After a quick check this morning, I found that not even Walmart can beat that price.

Something is very odd here.

Cheers;

MSantos

Check the internet dealers. I paid $9 a set from one of them, ordered three sets to reduce the impact of s&h.
