Default 0.14 = Ideal Car Shape

This is a 1985 Ford Probe concept car..... estremely slick design in order to minimize energy wasted pushing through air.

So far, the best production hybrid is 0.25 for the Insight. I'd like to see a smoother/sleeker hybrid like this 0.14 Probe.

I wouldn't really. It'd be the end of hybrids as we know it! No one would buy...

Troy,

You got me thinking, so I typed low drag coefficient car in Google. The first link has a list of cars with their Cd, notice the Accord Hybrid on the list.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_coefficient

Right above the Ford Probe is a Benz. Below is a link to a picture of the Benz:

This link may be a decent article about the differnt factors in designing a car:

At the bottom of the Google page there is a link to a discussion about the Insight.

Thanks for making me think. This could be interesting.

Billy
