Lets focus on changing fuel's for massive ag. tractors and the machines that feed the world. Cant get bio fuels in the mainstream? Why arent the mega tractors bio-deisel. Why are we giving money to farmers to not grow,,,, and feeding the world? Want to flip flop margins? WTF are we doing? A slave of a country to fuel,, and feed the world?? Something is basicly wrong with that picture. You cant prove bio fuels in LA!!! But why not in Neraska, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma. Texas or any of the boarder states. The bread basket of the world has to be shut down,, paided out and otherwise sold out. i say dont feed the Arabs. Two things man needs more than anything. Salt , bread and water and we can live. its about time we take our strenght in America and tell them pay or... you die!!! You arent going to eat.... Hard as it is amsericans that dont own a car will eat before you can pump your oil.
Folks really getting pissed at oil companys right now with there profits. major farming co.'s have made the oil companus look like childs play in profits.
Wow.... Where to begin? I suppose I'll inject a little logic into this heart-felt ramble.
Lets focus on changing fuel's for massive ag. tractors and the machines that feed the world.
-The first Biodiesel tractors are rolling away in India, and California has just phased in a massive fleet of Biodiesel vehicles.
Cant get bio fuels in the mainstream?
-You have to give these things time. We've been running on distilates of petroleum for the past century, a change over night is simply not going to happen.
Why arent the mega tractors bio-deisel.
-Because the infrastructure to process and deliver the grease does not exist yet. (Remember, "yet," hopefully soon.
Why are we giving money to farmers to not grow,,,, and feeding the world?
-Farm subsididies are designed, not for the farmer (at least not primarily) but for the economy as a whole. The governments difficult task is to stabilize a market depentant upon stochastic systems (read... too many variables, weather, flooding, nitrogen uptake etc.)
A slave of a country to fuel,, and feed the world??
-That's what we at Greenhybrid.com are trying to do, at least in the short term. And, sure I suppose we export a huge quantity of food, but letting the inocent starve will not get us cheap fuel. This kind of fanatacism only leads to poor people dying and little or no growth in the developing world.
But why not in Neraska, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma. Texas or any of the boarder states.
-Well, because currently, the cost to grow corn, harvest the corn, process and break down the complex starches enzymatically, ferment, distill and finish-then ship the product, mix with petroleum distillates, then ship to your corner gas station, exceed the price per gallon of good ole' 87 octane. By quite a wide margin currently. Yeah, I know about Brazil, see /discuss/31250-post10.html
The bread basket of the world has to be shut down,, paided out and otherwise sold out. i say dont feed the Arabs.
-Not only are all Arabs NOT oil-brokers and terrorists, but the bread basket of the world feeds for profit or donates a large quantity of food to Asian and African countries. So... Not to petty the point up too badly, but lets say "why not starve the Congolese so we can get our share of De Beers profits?" Boy, I could spend a day telling you how many reasons you're wrong about this statement. But, there's more to do.
Two things man needs more than anything. Salt , bread and water and we can live.
-Sure, until the body begins to miss the essentiall amino acids, protiens, and a much needed supply of calcium and phosphorus. Then what, rickets, blindness from lack of Vitamin C?
its about time we take our strenght in America and tell them pay or... you die!!!
-You're kidding right? You understand that a major factor in the distribution of oil is an organization called OPEC, right? This stands for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. www.Opec.org
"The price of OPEC basket of eleven crudes stood at 53.79 dollars a barrel on Thursday 27/10/05, compared with 54.41 dollars the previous day, according to OPEC Secretariat calculations."
-Obvious as it is to some, the price of oil is set by very prosperus men, sitting in very large houses, kept clean and manicured by the people you propose to starve.
Folks really getting pissed at oil companys right now with there profits. major farming co.'s have made the oil companus look like childs play in profits.
-Alright, look here friend. The reason farming subsidies exist, again, is to preserve some type of consisitancy, in a sysem that as "big-business" as it has gotten, is still unstable. A single year of drought or pests could destroy an entire yield. So, no, this ignorant spittle makes no sense what so ever. Exxon, BP etc make hundreds of times what farmers make, corperate or no.
Sorry to have to hammer so long and hard, but the internet would have surely been better had you not loosed the mace of ignorace upon the board.
We don't control the worlds food(grains in this case) supply-not even close. We can't blackmail the world in the same way that OPEC twisted our arm back in 1979.We just don't control enough of the potential food supply. If we dropped production, other countries could pick up the slack.A production cut would just further reduce our exports-making our trade balance even worse.
There is more excess agricultural supply than there is excess oil production supply. We can't blackmail anyone worth blackmailing. The folks who have the oil have the money to buy food at any price.(Besides, you can make sugar from oil if it came to that).
If blackmail is what you figure will work there is a much more obvious way.Threaten to take over SA if they don't sell us cheap oil.Yeah, they could destroy the fields-set fire to them, but they know how easy(sorta easy) it is to get them back online(Kuwait).They-the SA-would remind us that we would get bogged down in another low intensity war if we did this.We would suggest that we plan to kill the entire population before actually hitting the ground.
I not seriously suggesting this, and no USA president would slaughter an entire country for $1 gasoline. It just has a better chance of working than a grain boycott. Now if oil were suddenly $300/b,and we were still dependent on foreign oil-all bets are off-.Luck,Charlie

Is this attack realy nessasary? Please, everyone, be considerate and constructive in your comments. Other than that last line the post was pretty good.
-I'm not sure calling a post an ignorant pile of dribble is really an attack. I know for a fact that I've been ignorant in the past, and chances are I'll be ignorant some time in the future... I welcome ONE and ALL to come and call any post or thought of mine Ignorant, it's the only way I'll learn.
Where's the censorship for stupidity on this thread?
-Please be more specific. If I've missed any details, or have stated incorrect information then let me know so I can repent properly.

I rest my case. As for your first comments, I think you are a way more patient person then I am and you just added validity to an otherwise ignorant post.
-Yeah, I see what you mean. Some people have a tendancy toward fanatacism. I can only hope to explain as slowly and as patiently as possible why jumping to conclusions doesn't get anyone anywhere. All too frequently people in general can't see the forest for the trees, and would benefit from taking in the bigger picture on a more consistant basis.
