Are you talking new or used? I just bought a used car (non-hybrid) on line and could share tips.

Have an idea where I want to go but but just feeling uneasy about it until I get up to snuff on the process and how it works going on line. It is through an on-line auction not straight from the dealer. Know anything about this?

I bought strictly off the internet when I got my HAH. I sent a request for quotes to a few dealerships. I ended up purchasing from a dealer that was upfront about their prices with me. A few others tried to tell me to call them or come in for a quote. Well, if I wanted to do that, I would not have emailed their fleet/internet departments for quotes!

Regardless of which service, try their search engine to see if they even list what you are looking for.

I would recommend buying from dealers, not individuals, unless you have the money to burn. Banks tend to prefer ordinary business transactions with dealers, not individuals.

GOOD LUCK!

That may be true for a bank, but with my credit union, they merely asked me what car did I want and how much did I need. Blank check was in the mail on it's way to me the same day.

Did you see a Prius offerred there? I don't. In there "about us" section I read "On Unique Auction the maximum price for any product is 20% of the retail price. " If this is true I would be cautious, to say the least! Salvage titled, unrepaired Prius sell on ebay in the $5000-$10000 range.

There is a Lexus RX400H that apparently will change hands for about $2500??? With no VIN listed I can learn nothing about the vehicle.

I have no idea what that site is up to. What is the smilie for "fear, confusion, run away"?
