Talking "Drafting"

....and now for something totally different!

This picture was taken on my evening commute from work around 5:30pm this Monday. I have at least three comments on the picture, I'll name "drafting"....

You saw another Insight on your commute? Soooo lucky. And how were you coordinated enough to take the picture?

Did the Insight improve the 18-wheeler's fuel economy?

I am wondering why the insight is in the left lane when he is clearly not passing anybody? Shouldn't he at least have his blinker on to get over since from the picture it is obvious he is well beyond you.

I guess this doesn't matter though.

Yes - just to let everone know I don't just pick on Dodge Rams.

The pack speed was 60mph - the posted speed limit.

The Insight was in the passing lane. There are two slower lanes on the right - he should be on the rightmost lane. (I've said this on previous discussions) Typically, traffic tries to go 70mph on the lane he was hosing up. Did not get a good look at the licence plate, but I suspect he was not local to be driving like that. His behavior does not promote hybrids.

I have my camera in the passenger seat. If something interesting comes along, I power it up, then pick it up for a one-handed shot if the opportunity presents itself.

My husband once said (he is not an Insight fanatic or fan) that anyone who gets passed by me should be embarrassed!
