Well put, zero
You are all so lucky >_< why must I have a adamant father that procrastinated (or something) in ordering the Prius?!?!?!?!? for 8 months?!?!?!?!

he also tried to persuade me into buying a TDI but I absolutely refused since that would be as dirty as my current car... and thats pointless then.
Todays Golf TDI is probably worse than your current car in regards to particulate and NOx emissions, but better in regards to CO2 emissions. And people have different opinions on what is worst. I'd say the CO2 emissions are worse.

I have a 1993 Audi 100 and the last time I looked on the gov's EPA site, it has the same CO2 emissions as a new TDI. I find NOx worse though because i think its an anhydrous salt and it wants to combine with water to make acid. Plus NOx combined with other particulate matter creates ground level ozone which isnt very good for anyone at all. CO2 is more related to global warming i think, which is a pretty controversial topic in my opinion.

I find it surprising that a rather big gasoline car from 1993 has the same CO2 emissions as a new mid-size Golf diesel. Do you have the numbers?

Explain why you find global warming controversial!

Ok, I looked and none of my info is correct....The Jetta produces less CO2 but tons more NOx

look at www.fueleconomy.gov

i actually dont know the amount of NOx on my audi either

I tried to find NOx data, but the EPA has some kind of index instead. The intent of that I'm sure is good, but it makes it harder for us right now to compare... If your Audi has a catalytic converter, then I'm almost sure that your NOx emissions are lower than a new Jetta TDI.

But again, please explain why you find global warming controversial!

oh im sorry. some would say that the general increase of the Earth's temperature is due to CO2 and other gases emitted by cars / factories.

I'm not refuting this theory but some other people think that the rise of the Earth's temp is caused naturally and is all part of Earth's cycle

thats why i say its controversial

although i would like to say that global warming is real and that more prius would help protect the environment, i dont know if either can be proven

Flare,
Interestingly enough, recently I read an article in a magazine (Popular Science?) that de-bunked the warming of the oceans. It quoted that as newer and newer Thermometers were placed, the reading differences seemed to change the temp.
Cheers,
Steven
