Default Excited about filling up?

Am I the only one with this affliction? ... Since getting my HCHII, I actually look forward to filling up so I can calculate my MPG's!

I'll be filling up tonight on the way home after traveling a little over 500 miles on the current tank -- still showing 3 pips on the fuel level, so my MPGs should be in the 49 to 50 range. Nice considering the 90+ temps and heavy use of A/C.

I have over 500 miles on my tank and about one-third of the tank left.

This tank should stretch to 750 miles, with any luck.

Nice.

Someday I'll be that proficient... I'm still learning, but I am very happy with my MPG's so far.

It, along with display staring, are pretty common to the newbie Hybrid owner. So, yes, most of us at one point or another has been excited to fill up.

I still get excited considering it used to cost me $60+ for premium fuel a week in the maxima now it only costs $60 per month in HCH-I for regular. Mine is a PZEV so it only has an 11 gallon tank so 500+ mile tanks happen in summer only around these parts.

501 miles @ 9.96 gallons = 50.3 mpg. Not bad, as I'm still getting the hang of more efficient driving and my car is just now breaking in.
