I can't answer for the Georgia area, but here in Louisiana we see cheaper prices at Shell and Citgo for the major brands. Off-brand gas is cheapest at Raceway. Used to put this in my old Chevy pickup, not in my newer cars.

And no winter blend weird stuff here.

Regards,

Default Try the "Gas prices" websites

Wayne, I would try the "gas prices" websites and choose large towns along the route. For example:

www.phoenixgasprices.com

or

www.elpasogasprices.com

are two that I use when travelling from Phoenix to Texas.

Ususally the Sams's Clubs and Costcos have the best prices in our area.

Good luck !!! (Phoenix Average is 2.077 today)

Gas around here in Orlando is about that... $2.00-2.10 last I noticed. Maybe $2.03?

Wayne,

You might want to wait until you get in GA. In Chattanooga the prices are right at $2 for reg. Sometimes on the weekend there is a small gas war and you can get 93 octane for $2.05 or so. Right around the border (GA-TN) prices are pretty similar. Maybe Hot Georgia can shed some light for closer to ATL.

Yes, it is about the same, just under $2. for regular.

BTW
Wayne, will you be getting near Atlanta?
I'm 50 miles NE of Atlanta, off I-85 near a big Pilot truck stop/resturaunt.
That would be exit 126.

If you are going nearby anyway I'd like to buy you lunch and shake your hand on behalf of everyone you've helped to raise thier FE.

I'd even let you take 'ol "Sparky" for a spin if you like.

Wayne,

I guess your route will take you through Nashville and Chattanooga. If so then Monteagle will make a dent in your mileage. It is a pretty nast climb, but after you come down it is as level as it gets around here.

For the trip back Chattanooga may be a good place to stay. In downtown there are a couple of Marriott type hotels, a Staybridge, a Hilton and the Chattanoogan is a nice, but expensive place. There are some smaller chains also very near the interstate.

Ok, I'll check my schedule.
Nashville is a bit far for us to travel but I can imagine you'll possibly be traveling I-75 Northbound out of the Atlanta area. Anywhere along the strip between Atlanta-Tennessee would be fine, my folks live in Cartersville (NW corner of GA) so that might also be convienient for me.

Me and Stevo live in the same general area, not sure if he can make it or not.
