Talking Has anyone been asked about mileage more than usual

Has anyone been asked about mileage more than usual lately?

Seems as though I get asked the question about 20 times a day now. I wonder if it has to do with the gas prices? Actually, in my area it's more availability than the price. Sad, but if someone sees a station that has it they zip in a top off. Most of the stations here just have the prices taken off if they are out.

On a lighter note, the convenience store attendents seem much happier.

'00 Insight "Wazabi" -75,000+ miles
'03 Toyota Matrix - 81,000+ miles
'03 HCH-CVT-OSBM-41,000+ miles (retired 04-10-06)
"I'm very secure with my little Insight, no Prius envy here."

I have a lot more people asking me too. Many have thoughtful follow up questions too - like what's the difference between the Hondas and the Toyotas, etc. Funny though - I'd say 75% of those conversations end with, "that sounds great, but my wife is convinced we need an Escalade...". Go figure.

i get asked at work a lot, though i answered all their questions by putting an article in the company newsletter talking about the car (i published the news letter).

now that i have my new green hybrid license plate frame stating that "i get 55MPG. you?" i will either get more comments, or run over by the pickup that is tailgating me......

.

Best fill 66.7 MPG, best tank 801.5 miles

___Politically correct or not, I want to say that even though you are female, you have some rather large cajones to hold on to your HCH’s FE like that
