So I was at a stop light a few days ago in South Bend, Indiana when I saw an Insight turning onto the street I was about to travel on. So me being partial to Insights, after it turned green for me, I quickly (without being reckless) sped up to him just to praise his car...maybe see if it was my old Insight...which it wasn't. But I followed him for a few blocks to where it became a 4 lane road. I got up next to him at a stop light, looked over at him and nodded and he nodded back
I had no intentions at all in racing him, although I think he did. It turned green and I was letting the clutch out to drive like a granny like I ussually do when all the sudden all I see is a little silver speck, that used to be an energy efficient eco friendly 3-banger, at least 2 bus lengths in front of me. :blink: I never caught back up to him again, I think he turned soon after that... The moral of the story is, its not often that I have to worry about being shown up, especially by a hybrid vehicle. But if I ever meet up with him at the track, I believe he could give me a run for my money.
I am not aware of any aftermarket for these cars, that is why I am so stoked about this. This had to be a custom turbo job or something.
