I wonder why Honda doesn't make a hybrid version of the CR-V? Seems like it would make a great candidate for a hybrid SUV.

Funny you should mention that. My husband just bought an Acura and when they pulled up my American Honda Financing account they all snickered about my Insight. They were all about big engines and speed and luxury. Oh well! I did not care their laughs and jokes about my space pod, because i get 50+ miles per gallon! I am the one laughing.

You should have suggested to them that they go to the gas station, stick their credit card in the slot and then pump the gas onto the ground. Because that's what they're laughing at.

I have actually gotten a lot of negative comments about my Insight. People make jokes all the time. Mostly because of the appearance. I obviously love my car and think it is cool, but others do not. For some reason, they like to voice their opinions. BUT I am the only laughing every time i drive by a crowded gas station. Inside I am always having the last laugh

A hybrid CR-V would rock!
The Highlander is WAY out of our budget. My cousin has one though and LOVES it.

Honda's recent round of publicity seems to imply that smaller vehicles will be hybrids (Civic, etc.) and the larger vehicles will get diesel engines once they get the emissions worked out. Unless they change their minds, I would expect the CR-V to come out with a small diesel in a couple of years, perhaps along with the Accord.

What is wrong with people? For one the Insight is totally cute! And secondly it's rude. I don't go around telling people how ugly I think their big fat trucks are.
