There are a few questions about the Fit I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to. But if the answers are "yes", I would buy one in 2008.

-- Does it use IMA-II?
-- Does it have the 10-30 MPH limited-EV mode?
-- Can you extend the warranty to 100k?
-- Can someone 5'11" sit comfortably inside the car.

I'd like a hatchback. And considering that my drive to work is only 4 miles, I might need to refill the Fit's tank only once per month.

Hope is like a candle held against the night.

I was hoping for a price at about that, since that is what the UK version (Jazz) base price is. Supriseingly, Honda's website is now reporting the base price to be between $13,000 and $14,000..... I would say $13,500 would be a safe guess:

http://automobiles.honda.com/fit/index.aspx

I would guess this would put a loaded Fit Sport at $15k and a hybrid at $16,500. The base price on their website seems high, especially since Toyota's Yaris Sedan will have a base price of $11,850 and $10,950 for the hatchback. Maybe this will change.
