While, by nature, I could be considered a fearless person, I have an apprehension (and lack of free time), to go to a car dealer, and test drive a car I have no intention of ever buying.

As I've told my tale, I never went into my last car looking for a hybrid, I went looking at an Escape, and after doing lots of research, shopping around, and test driving, went with the FEH. (And quite humorously, never drove a conventional Escape)

Now, I would love for the carmakers or someone to have a "Hybrid Drive Day", or somesuch, where an interested person could go somewhere and test drive the hybrids available, just for the experience. I'd like to test a HiHy, a Prius, etc., but outside of an event like that, I can't see myself doing it.

I've driven my HCH I (obviously) and an 04 HCH (CVT also) we were looking at buying. My mom works for the health department and they have a few hybrids, she's brought home an Insight (5 speed) before and she let me drive it. Those are the only 2 models I driven and ever been in. I'd like to atleast have a ride in a Prius. Also, I'd like to test drive an HCH II.

I've also test-driven a Prius and a HCH-II. I totally dig my HCH and will probably get a HCH-II someday. Unless, of course, electric cars with a 200 mile range become feasable at an affordable price.

While I've only driven 2 5-speed Insights and a 2004 Prius, I've been a passenger in every hybrid model except the Rx400h and Mariner. As soon as the Mariner is available to test-drive, we'll be there to check it out as well.

I drove a Mariner one wintery day last month. It was sitting out front of the Mercury dealer and I had to give it a go. Poor thing. It was waayyy to cold and snowy for it to even warm up. (It's still on the lot in Madison if you are looking for one!)

Basically I have driven all the models, just not every year of every model.
