Hybid Owner Surveys
Is it just me or have other hybrid owners received a rash of requests for filling out vehicle surveys? Seems researchers are really interested in identifying the hybrid demographic and what options they are willing to pay for (must have, prefer, no preference, don't want). Not complaining though, made about $20 for completing surveys so far; also believe the more we inform the auto manufacturers what the public wants, the better (especially if it is a hybrid).
How about a Poll to survey hybrid owners about surveys?

I only got one so far and it came with a dollar bill. I filled it out and sent it back.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
I did get 2 surveys but I also bought 2 hybrids at the same time so I guess it was not out of the ordinary.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
I just got one in the mail today, said If I filled it out online I'd receive 10.00. I got online and then it said they had reached their quota so I would not receive the money. It then went on to say I could still fill out the survey. lol Kevin

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
I think I have received over a dozen since I bought my FEH back in April. I filled the first one out and sent it back, and then a rash of them came in. Threw all of them out....but then received one different than the others, it was much shorter so I filled that one out and sent it back.
I am willing to help with surveys, but only to a point.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
I'd be willing to fill out surveys, especially for money. Haven't gotten any yet though. Not a single survey.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
I've gotten tons. I wonder if it's simply because I bought a 'new' car, or because it was a hybrid.
I fill them all out and say the only thing I care about is gas mileage. And that I want a biodiesel convertible hybrid if they allow fill in the blank-type responses.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
We never got any, but bought in 2001 when nobody knew anything about hybrids at all, nor did they care.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
Never got any. About a little over a year ago I was drilled for info by a Ford drivetrain engineer about my opinion of my CVT in my HCH as well as my opinion of the hybrid system on it in general. Ironic as I had stopped to snap some pics of the car and never noticed him reclined all the way back in the seat until I went to snap interior pics. It was the new Fusion, have yet to see one.

Re: Hybid Owner Surveys
I wonder how much it matters what Dealership you buy it from. That's got to be where they get my name, right? 'Cause I've gotten, literally, maybe 20 in the last year and 5 months since I bought my '04 HCH.
I just got one that was clearly conducted on behalf of Ford. If anyone's interested, they had a "help" e-mail that I sent the following message to:
The survey I just took is never going to capture the consumer opinion of my demographic. My qualifying car was a Honda Hybrid Civic. I would actually have preferred to buy a FORD HYBRID 'cause I'd rather drive a car ostensibly "made in USA." Unfortunately, Ford didn't get their **** together in time to release the Hybrid Escape when I needed to buy a car.
You could have just asked, "Why did you buy a Honda Civic Hybrid instead of an Escape or Mariner Hybrid?" My answer would have been because 1) it gets at least 20 mpg more than the escape hybrid, and 2) I'm not as scared about it breaking down as I would be if it was a Ford.
If Ford wasn't so concerned about navigation systems and leather seats and instead worked on creating a hybrid diesel engine (preferably a rotary diesel engine) that Ford would warranty for biodiesel use, then I'd pay 50 or 60 thousand dollars for it as long as it got better gas mileage than my Honda Civic.
Until American car manufacturers wake up and stop worrying about heated side mirrors, integrated running boards and folding passenger seats and start paying attention to making technological innovations that excite people who can think, y'all are doomed to junk bond status.
And my Toyota and Honda stock appreciates you for it, suckas.
