Hi folks,
This is wierd:

"Thursday, August 17, 2006:
HYBRID OWNERS UNITE!
We are here ... join us! The new and 100 percent independent organization - the Hybrid Owners of America - is being launched today to organize and advocate for the interests of the roughly 500,000 Americans who are saving money on gas, reducing America's dependence on foreign oil, and reducing global warming pollution by driving hybrid cars and other gas/electric vehicles. . . ."
Near as I can tell, they are asking for more hybrid subsidies. Since I bought my 03 Prius used and haven't see or expected one penny of government relief, why spend any time with them? I don't see any 'value added engineering' or did I miss the memo?
I'm reminded many years ago of the AARP presidency advocating programs harmful to seniors. Later, it looked like he was just another 'front man', not really a senior advocate except for AARP programs to separate seniors from their money. So I remain skeptical about "Hybrid Owners of America."
