Default Hybrid Owners get Travel discounts - Cool !!

Just read in the USA Today today these tow little tidbits:

  • At the 66-room family-owned Little River Inn just south of Medocino, Calif., hybrid drivers who book a midweek, oceanview room with fireplace through March 2006 for $236.50 including tax, get the SECOND NIGHT FREE. Owner Susan McKinney drives a Prius herself and uses solar panels to power the Inn's VCR-and-Jacuzzi-equipped suites says her goal is "a parking lot full of hybrids." Info at 888-466-5683 or www.littleriverinn.com
  • Hybrid drivers park free - a $22 per night savings - at the Fairmont San Jose in downtown San Jose Calif. Info at 800-257-7544 or fairmont.com/sanjose
Use that info Cali dudes and dude-ettes !! Save some Green !!!

Thanks Larry for the tip. I have actually been at the Little River Inn to play golf after a soccer tournament up the coast, and we had friends who stayed there and liked it a lot. So I'd recommend it also.

I think I'll have to mosey on up there sometime with my spousal unit, now that the kids are off to college and pretty self-sufficient. Hmmm, her birthday is coming up soon...

Thanks again!

It's a nice place next to the ocean in rural northern California -- Mendocino County -- with a reasonable golf course and the beauty of the redwoods, ocean nearby, etc.

At two days for one, that works out to less than $120 per night, which is what I end up paying to stay in Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn in most parts of California. So it's a good deal.

Very cool...I wonder if more places will do that for hybrids as well...seems like a nice way to drum up a bit of extra business.
