Why should I sign up? Can I do all that by just showing up?

P.S. We're bringing our pug. Where will dogs be allowed/not allowed?

Ian,
Sure, you can simply park your hybrid out in the parking lot and come to the show. It won't be on display with all the other hybrids. You can come see the sights, booths, speakers, enter for general door prizes, and take test drives by simply paying the Fair's admission fee which is $6 per day for adults.
But, if you do not become a member you won't have access to any of the following things:
- member reception on Friday
- MPG Challenge
- member cook out Friday evening
- access to the Hybridfest hospitality room
- display of your car on Satuday and eligibility for prizes
- boxed lunch on Saturday
- Saturday evening buffet
- Sunday morning "how-to" sessions.
You also will not receive
- free hybridfest t-shirt ($15 value)
- free admission to the Fair for Friday, Saturday, Sunday. ($12 value)
- member swag bag full of Hybridfest goodies
- a chance to win member-only door prizes
One last thing I'd like to mention is that Hybridfest depends on people like you for financial support. We are an all-volunteer group of enthusiasts who organize this show. Even if you choose to not become a member, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the non-profit company, Hybridfest, Inc.

We hope you come to the event, and we look forward to meeting you. If you see me, be sure to stop me and say hi! (p.s. I'll check about the dog situation and get back to you.)
