Default Hybridfest Registration Deadline is July 12, 2006

Many of you have already taken time to register for Hybridfest and we thank you! We look forward to meeting all of you. It's going to be a blast!

For those of you who have not registered yet, Wednesday, July 12 is the FINAL DAY TO REGISTER FOR HYBRIDFEST to be guaranteed to receive all the exclusive benefits:
- Hybridfest MPG Challenge Entry (limited to first 80 registrants only)
- Access to indoor technical hybrid presentations
- Car show entry
- Awards
- Discounted hotel rate
- Hybridfest t-shirt
- Hybridfest goodie bag
- Ice cream social for registrants who arrive Friday evening
Also available to Registrants:
- Boxed Lunch ($6 per person)
- Awards Dinner ($15 per person, 6pm-8pm) with Keynote Speaker: David Morris, Vice President of the Institute for Local Self Reliance

Registrations received after July 12 or on the day of show may have their benefits greatly reduced due to ordering deadlines and item availability. The only things we know for sure will be available are the Car Show Entry, Access to Indoor Technical Hybrid Presentations, and the Friday Ice Cream Social. (Sorry!)

Come join other hybrid owners from across the country in the greatest hybrid car gathering in the nation: Hybridfest 2006 – A Hybrid Electric Car Show and More! July 22, 2006. Madison, Wisconsin.

The bottom line is…register today at www.hybridfest.com so you don't miss
out!!

Maybe next year when my husband goes to Oshkosh (also in WI in late July each year), I can attend the HybridFest.

Interestingly, this year we purposely scheduled Hybridfest so it wasn't the same weekend as the EAA event in Oshkosh. It turns out some of the hybrid enthusiasts are airplane enthusiasts, too, and wanted to attend both festivals.

Thanks for the reminder. Given my move, new job, and some other stuff going on, it's completely slipped my mind.

I'm still not sure if I'm going though.

I just saw another fellow Michiganer (is that the right term?) register for Hybridfest. He plans on taking the high speed ferry across Lake Michigan. He says it's a bit expensive but beats driving through Chicago. Have you ever taken the ferry across?

Indeed. I'd actually want to attend both if I were in that neck of the woods at the right time, too, so that's good planning. My husband will be at Osh but he's solo on this trip (photographing for an aviation magazine).

One of these days...

I'm not Pravus Prime, but my husband & I took the Lake Express last summer when we went to Toledo. The trip over was sunny & fairly calm - we got to Muskego in under 3 hours - but on the trip back, we had winds out of the west, making the lake very choppy, & it took us almost 4 hours to get back to Milwaukee. It *is* pricier than the Badger (the ferry between Manitowoc & Ludington), but I thought it was worth it, expecially since you drive your own vehicle on & off - I have yet to turn my keys over to anyone other than the service tech at the dealership!

Debbie

P.S. - I believe the correct term is "Michigander", but what do I know? - I'm a Wisconsinite

Michigander is the term most of us use, though Michiganian has gotten popular again lately.

I started to look at the boat trips as an alternative to driving the entire way, but as I mentioned, I got bogged down in other stuff. Should I find the availability to go, I would probably go that route. Fellow board member Sledge is probably going to go that way if he attends.

It's not enough I picked up two new teaching jobs, I had to go and move too. It really eats up so much of my time at the moment.
