My wife and I just got an HCH II and we're both loving it. I'm really enjoying learning how to hypermile (this site has been a great resourse). The ironic thing is that after six plus years of listening to my wife complain about my lead foot, last night she actually gave me $hit for driving too slowly!!!
K (got 41.5 MPG on the way to work this morning, but it's cold and the car is brand new--I know I can do a lot better!)

Here is one for you bro. Tell your wife that I have been told already that I am complusive-obsessive ( i purchased my hch II about a month back ) when I let my spendid endevor know what I have tagged for mileage with-in the first few momments of walking through the door. A housefull of daycare, and then it's me in the end.
Coming from a position of having always thought that they put that amount of travel in the throttle for a reason, I now insist that my wife drive the FEH when we go together. "Too slow." "Too jerky." "GASP!!!" (apparently braking too late for her comfort.)
I have the opposite problem with my husband. He's still a lead foot, even when he's driving my TCH. He doesn't even *try* to get better FE, probably because he knows who's buying the gas.
I can't win!!!
