Default I erased the best hypermiler poll

I erased the best hypermiler poll for several reasons. I'm sorry to those who participated. Another thread can be started if someone really wants to discuss hypermilers.

The thread I deleted was a source of friction (my bad), hopelessly side tracked (my bad again), and better off gone. It hurt peoples feelings and in spite of that not being my intention that was the end result and I'm sorry.

I'll be deleting this thread in a couple days as well so that there is no trace of anything to remind us of hurt feelings.

Your comments are welcome, just keep in mind that this is a temporary thread.

I wondered how long it would take before it was "Closed" or "Deleted". Like I said in the 1-Post I did on that Thread. It is interesting to read the comments that are made when a Name or Names are within a Thread.

As you said here your intention was one thing but what was read into it was very different.

Life goes on in the world of Hypermilers.

For what it is worth your "Apology" here sounds to me to be very "Sincere" and it takes a Very-Big-Person IMHO to come forth and handle that Thread the way you have.

So lakedude have a Nice Sunday and hopefully this will pass like any other "Controversial-Thread". It will not be the 1st nor the Last.

chilly

actually, my wife should have won. We bought our highlander on apri 25th , and now, 11 months later it has 3800 miles on it. It has cost us $320 in gas for the year.

I know, you must be wondering how we pull it off. ............We work from home.

Now thats the best emissions per year I have seen yet on this site.

Until someone comes on and announces he doesnt even own a car, he uses a bicycle.

I didn't see it.

What could people *posssibly* fight about when it comes to the honorable cause of saving gas?
