If ______ Were A Hybrid, I'd Be All Over It
I know that a good majority of people here bought a hybrid because of the great mileage and lack of emissions to the environment, but if you had a choice and could afford a different car what would you like to see hybridized? Personally, I love the Subaru Impreza WRX, if that was a hybrid I'd very possibly have bought one or at least looked into one. My other choice would be the Mazda Protege 5, I love that wagon, it's sporty, it looks cool and drives very nicely to boot. The ultimate dream would be the BMW M3, but since I can't afford one of those, I'd just stick with the Protege 5. Any car you'd prefer over what you currently have if it were a hybrid?

Mini-Cooper. What a GREAT car !
Hatchback, NOT boxy, Scion
Any of a large number of small hatchbacks available in Europe.
I'm speaking of design .. in practice I will only consider models from Honda or Toyota because of reliability.

I second the choice of a Mini Cooper.

Mazda is the untapped jewl for Ford, imo. If marketed well, and properly equipped with Hybrid tech, definitely, Mazda would make a very popular ride. I second that.
Very rich and sleek interiors too, imo, for the price tag.

Re: If ______ Were A Hybrid, I'd Be All Over It
Well I've always been a big fan of Nissan. I've had 3, 2 sentras and a quest. I had looked at getting another Sentra, but the Prius offered the same features (actually more) as the Sentra, and much better fuel effiency. If Nissan had a Sentra or Maxima hybrid I think I would have atleast looked into it. I also really like the Xterra, but getting 19 MPG is not very appealing.

Ford Ranger Pickup or Nissan's Frontier. They I could do it all, haul and save fuel.

Remember the Subaru Brat? How about a new Subaru Hybrid AWD pickup (not like the Baja) but more like the Brat. One where you could put a piece of ply in the back or a bedroll, etc. Dreamer I am.

Unquestionably, the Honda Element. Also the Scion xB. Both cars are ugly, but so very functional.

If they still made and imported them a MG midget, otherwise a Mazda Miata.

The Scion xB is the answer to the question: "What if a Mini-Cooper was a mini-van?" And it gets over 30 mpg!
