Honda CRV - so we can get rid of our Ford Escape (Non-hybrid). The Highlander is too big and the Ford Escape Hybrid, is well, an American Car and we are not impressed with our 2005 Ford Escape Limited and are already starting to have little problems here and there.

Third vote for the Element. I love my 2003 Element, and would only consider trading it in for another Element.

Re: If ______ Were A Hybrid, I'd Be All Over It
This might qualify for a new thread, but I'd like Honda to bring back the CRX with hybrid engines. In the 1980's Honda had three versions:
- CRX HF (high mpg version. I had a 1988 model)
- regular CRX
- CRX Si (pocket rocket)
The Insight has a lot in common with the CRX HF, but it was never intended to be high volume. Reintroducing the CRX as a hybrid might increase the volume and profitability, add choices. Would like to see the engine be a four-cylinder that drops to a two-cylinder at cruising like the Accord.
61.5mpg lifetime - 82mpg in recent months

Ditto to Delta Flyer's CRX suggestion. I had an '88, as well. My first brand new car; and I LOVED it! It would make a great hybrid with good appeal.

Mercedes SLK350. I may get one anyway but I'd much rather have one that gets decent mileage.

2nd that, CRV would be great! No plans to build it.

Re: If ______ Were A Hybrid, I'd Be All Over It
Another vote for the MINI Cooper!
I sold my 2003 Cooper S to get a Prius, and still miss the enourmous driving fun of the MINI. If the MINI One Diesel were available in the US, it would have been a strong contender for me, but a MINI Hybrid would be even better.
Better yet, I think Toyota should offer a hybrid drivetrain KIT, so that the mechanically savvy and inclined could buy the kit and integrate it into classic cars: MGB-GT, MGA, etc...
Anyone remember the movie GATTACA, and the super-cool classic electric vehicles?

Re: If ______ Were A Hybrid, I'd Be All Over It
Volkswagen Lupo 3L /88 MPG car.
Actually, I'd buy it even if it wasn't a hybrid. I wish Volkswagen would look at the $2.50 gas price, say to themselves, "Hey, there's a market for high mpg cars," and bring the Lupo over to American shores.

Re: If ______ Were A Hybrid, I'd Be All Over It
I always thought the Insight was exactly like the CRX, they share almost the same body style anyway. I do like the idea of the Mini, though.
