I'm looking at buying a FEH fairly soon, but there's one thing I have seen much mention of: auto insurance rates. Being in the most expensive insurace rate state in the nation (NJ) means it's something I have to take seriously. Has the hybrid affected your insurance rates at all? Has anyone switched from a Ford Escape to an Escape Hybrid directly and noticed a difference, either way?

Well, I went from a '95 Ford Explorer to a 2006 Escape Hybrid, and quite surprisingly, my rates went down, $300 a year. (Another hidden bonus I suppose)
