Hi,

My brother in law saw a "Jeep Limited Hybrid" yesterday and I told him he was mistaken. I search the internet for this and could only find this:

Other links were have something to do with Jeep Diesel Hybrid? What exactly is that?

Anyone has any info on Jeep Hybrid? I like Jeep, and it would be nice to see a Hybrid.

I actually wrote to Jeep a while back about whether they had any plans for a hybrid Liberty. My wife & I love the LIberty and would love to have one. It fits our lifestlye perfectly and we've both had great experience with Jeeps. In fact, I just sold my '96 Cherokee with 98k miles on it and it was still running great.

Jeep's response to me was they had no plans to introduce a hybrid vehicle.

I have no idea about a diesel hybrid.

(that's what my car tells me, so it must be true)

There was a story on Fox News & Friends this morning with a gorgeous vehicle. It was substantial and cool looking and it is an electric/ diesel jeep. yum. It was open top like a jeep wrangler, but slightly larger, more road hugging and stylised-- looked something like a hotter hummer and very awesome. I would like to know more too if you find out about it. They said it was electric plug-in for 40 miles of juice, and then you go diesel until the next electric charge.

that would be SWEET if JEEP beat VOLT to the showrooms with a hybrid...

The hybrid Jeep is a concept vehicle on display at the Detroit Auto Show. The Chevy Volt is also a concept vehicle, full of hope and promise.

But like I always say, try driving a promise to work.

Car companies have been playing the "concept" game for decades. Back in the 1960s, they claimed that we'd all have flying cars by now. I'm still waiting.

I'm also still waiting for ANY car from the Big 3 that matches the price, features, and mpg of my Civic Hybrid.

There has been a SUV AWD Hybrid for the past five years. It is called a Ford Escape Hybrid.

Best Interstate tank trip E30 MPG 34.6 for 271 miles along I-80 in Indiana and Ohio. May 2008

Best multiple road tank trip E30 MPG 36.2 for 202 miles in Southwestern Pa. July 2008.

At the Detroit auto show there was a Jeep.
