Default M1 and Filter For $30

I went into AutoZone today and saw an ad that said 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 oil filter was only $29.99. Time to stock up!

Nice find. I went to their site to see but nothing came up. I'll have to drive by...

BTW, saw your 59' Galaxie data. I have a '65 Buick Skylark but it doesn't see much road time

Default Re: M1 and Filter For $30

I just checked on their site as well. Some other good sales are listed, but nothing on the M1 sale. I found out about it the local sales flyer, so I wonder if it's just regional? Perhaps only Phoenix stores honor this discount.

On top of this sale, I'm also getting a 10% military discount on the filter (oil can't be discounted for some reason). So $28.89 is a pretty good price for what I'm getting. I'm basically paying full price for the oil and getting the $10.99 oil filter for free. But, if it wasn't for this sale, I'd be buying the $5.79 oil filter from the Honda dealership. So, essentially I see it as saving $5.79. Either way, I'm still making out. And by buying in bulk now, I potentially save money later if (or is it more like WHEN) oil prices start to rise.

I've got 20 quarts and 4 filters sitting in my garage right now. I plan on buying at least another 20 quarts and 4 filters later this week. 4 sets for the HAH and 4 sets for the Escape.
