Default Magnetic Signs

I use my Prius as my company car. I use the magnetic signs on the doors. The signs keep falling off. Any chance it has anything to do with it being a hybrid?

Thanks for the answers.

More likely it has to do with the steel. My understanding is the Prius body steel is special although I don't know the details.

Are they peeling off at high speed or do they just 'drop off?'

Do you have any options for stronger or more magnets?

According to the "sign people" magnet is magnet. you can get a heavier gauge, but that is just the thikness of the whole sing and has nothing to do with the "magnetisity". They fall off while driving. No matter if i go slow or fast. Actually when i put them on they stick really well. The other option i am considering is static cling. It's like the little sticker they put on when you get an oil change.

Most likely the alloy used in the Prius does not have strong enough magnetic properties. I had magnetic "just married" signs on my 2002 Prius when we left our wedding. I was very surprised when we hit the highway and the signs went flying.

Just a thought but you might look at Ebay for some of those 'super magnets.' You might be able to use a couple of the small ones, about an inch in diameter, and get enough force to hold the sign on. You'll need to use a flexible, plastic compatible adhesive, perhaps a GE silicon or RTV to hold them on the sign. . . . Just a suggestion.
