After 16 months and 38K miles the paint didn't look quite new anymore so I went to my local Wal-Mart for some paste wax.
I usually buy the Turtle stuff as it is pretty cheap ($2.44/can) but noticed another paste wax that cost 3.5 times more but carried a big promise.
I decided to treat my car to the more expensive "Meguiars Gold Class" paste wax.
For those who still need to do their pre-summer wax I'd
HIGHLY reccomend this product.
Today I waxed my car (5 hours) and please let me tell you that it looks better than when it rolled off of the dealers lot.
Really, no kidding at all.
The project was done in the shade on a cool car.
I've used Turtle in the past and found it very difficult to get out of the nicks-&-crannies and especially where it accidentally gets onto rubber or plastic.
This didn't have that problem. Heck, afterward I went over the rubber & plastic parts with the wipe-off rag and those look new too.
It all went on & off very easily.
Afterward I went over it again with a fresh cotton towel and am completely impressed.
I also got their detailing spray to help maintain the great looks.
Tomorrow I'll have to apply fresh rain-x on the glass but for this evening I'll probably just take an Aspirin.

I also found out that the generic bug & tar remover also doubles as an excellent tire & wheel cleaner, when I'm out of the real stuff.
