I have heard nothing about that. Honda already has the 2-door Insight, so I would doubt the HCH would be a 2-dr anytime soon....

Two door is different than two passenger.
You could have a two-door Civic, yet seat four people.
The Insight has two doors and only seats two people.
I've only heard about a four door Civic Hybrid for 2006.
Here's a photo that was in a Japan newspaper.

Dang...I hate to like the looks of a Civic, but dayum that is sexy. I might have to give up my plans of buying a used Insight next spring

Eventually all cars will look identical (tear-drop shaped).
If I wanted a 2-door Civic, I'd buy the lean-burn HX, which averages 40-45 mpg highway, and only costs ~$15,000.

The only downside to the HX is that it's a stripped down model. The biggest missing feature from the 96-00 HX was cruise control. For 01-05 the biggest missing feature is power windows. There's lots of other stuff too, but speaking for myself personally, I like my cars to at least have power locks, windows, and cruise control. In fact for that matter, the HX doesn't even come with A/C, although you can get it as a dealer-installed accessory at least.
Still, the Civic Hybrid is basically a top of the line Civic Sedan with the hybrid drivetrain. It would be interesting if they just go ahead and drop the Insight (since it's old anyway and not profitable) and offered a Civic Coupe hybrid with all the features of the top of the line Civic Coupe.

Honda needs to make a hybrid that will get the best epa numbers in the industry. Thats why they keep the insight. They aren't selling very many but they still have the braging rights.
So they would have to get about 60mpg in a car before they drop the insight.

So? We're here to conserve energy, not waste it with power windows.
Use some elbow grease!
Maybe it's because I'm poor, but a lot of the things people on this forum say they "need" I think are not necessary. I don't need power windows. Or blu-tooth internet. Or a car that makes my morning coffee.
The 44mpg HX would work perfectly for me, and about $5000 cheaper.

Troy, not needing power windows does not prove you are poor, it just proves you are YOUNG. As you get older, you start to appreciate automated things a LOT more, trust me on that one !!
