Driving a KIA Rio was a different experience. Specifically, it was the first car I drove with an overdrive. The article linked says there are not many cars with them, now that 5-speeds are cheap. I've wondered why not just have a higher gear on the KIA Rio's automatic transmission? My guess is it's cheaper to put an overdrive in the drive train past the automatic.
