Default PA state Hybrid Rebate is for real...

I sent in my application the day the website came back online on July 19th. My check for $500 arrived in the mail today.

It is a "while supplies last" deal based on a $3 million grant if I am not mistaken. That means 6,000 credits are available. If you bought a HYbrid vehicle in 2006 and registered it in Pennsylvania you are eligible.

If you haven't yet applied, here is the site:

Pennsylvania Hybrid Rebate

They called a few weeks ago to verify my info, since my handwriting is sub par. Hopefully that means mine is on the way! I missed out on the last one.

I sent mine out the day it went live and was about to call and check up on it when my $500 check arrived yesterday. Woohoo.

I am now glad that the FEH/MMH aren't "flex fuel" E85 compatible. For what ever the state's logic, flexible fuel hybrids are exempt from getting the rebate.

Did you hear from PA at all, prior to receiving the check? I mean, if you gave them your email address, did they email you confirming they got your submission, and that everything seems to be in order?

I heard nothing from the state prior to receiving the check. They did not confirm the receipt of the application, nor did they tell me that they were processing the application for rebate.
