I don't think flexfuel hybrids are exempt I just think they don't exist...I think that exemption was for 'normal' flex fuel vehicles like GM's pickup truck. I think if there was a flex fuel hybrid it would have qualified. This rebate seems to be geared towards vehicles that significantly improve fuel economy only.
As for the rebate, they did not contact me about it at all, like the others my check just arrived. I called to verify if they received it but they couldn't tell me....all they said was that I wouldn't hear anything unless there was a problem.
