Warner, That little sentence is there to influence the voters
I actually might have considered buying that car, because my commute is short (14 miles round trip) and since the car has 4 seats, my two kids can be driven to school. It meets my needs as a commuter vehicle - ALMOST completely....(read on)
My problem is the lack of A/C. Living in Phoenix, this would mean I can drive the car only five months out of the year because the rest of the time would mean sweating buckets.
People in moderate climates with a "city streets commute" less than 35 miles or so might find the Xebra equal to their needs.

For me, the speed limitation is a deal breaker. I could even live with a 40 mile range if it could do 65 MPH.
Other problems:
-- Lead acid batteries. These are heavy and are pretty bad for the environment.
-- Classification. Since it is technically a 3-wheel motorcycle, that implies that the end user would require the Motorcycle endorsement to be added to his/her driving license. (I have a Class M license, but I doubt the average Joe does.)
