I just installed an aftermmarket radio and ive got all the idiot lights on on the dash and a basically a "dead"car, does anyone know how to RE-BOOT the entire electrical system? can i do this by simply disconnecting the battery waiting then reconnecting. All help is welcome, ill even give my cell phone # out if needed. thanks. Dean

ok got all the lights on the dash to go off and the engine working but some display options are not functioning...luckily i have a toyota dealer a few blocks away, needless to say thats the first stop in the morning ah the price we pay for good tunes.

Well it would sound like you either cut the wrong wires of the wiring harness during the install or that something was grounded out during the install. That either blew some fuses that are now out and causing problem, or it's currently grounded out and some functions are entirely dead. Who did your stereo install?

Thanks for the help, its all fixed. it was just a fuse, however in order for the display to function properly you need to install a 68 ohm resistor between 2 wires that are in the leftover wire plug in the stock harness. simple as pie, once i found it. I did the complete install and it sounds great. im installing front speaks and tweets now to get rid of the stock junk. Dean
