I've found Edmunds.com to be an excellent source of reviews and information. You can also try Kelley Blue Book at kbb.com. These sites will typically have pretty fair editorial reviews and can offer decent comparisons and alternatives for each model.
Note that when you come to a site like this one, you'll get a lot of good information but also some pretty biased opinions either for or against particular models. In my experience, people who's opinion is middle-of-the-road don't post a lot, it's more people who are very pleased and really getting "into" the subject, or people who are really ticked and looking for answers to every problem (real or imagined) they have with the car.
