IMHO, we need to send 'letters to the editor' of the various car publications pointing out this obvious flaw. It really is insulting and not as if GM doesn't have MPG gage technology.

It does seem like an odd thing to leave out. I can't think of why anyone interested in buying a hybrid wouldn't want to monitor their fuel economy. Maybe GM doesn't want owners to know how little boost BAS gives to a vehicle as large as a VUE.

Somehow I think the vehicle will have a real instrument cluster when the VUE is re-released in 2mode configuration.

Hope is like a candle held against the night.

The digital screen under the speedo in the regular Aura lets you scroll to an economy readout. I drove a new GM rental that had Inst and Avg economy on the radio screen too. So there is hope that the Aura hybrid will have a readout somewhere.

Not having one is bad, having a digital only one is better, but having the analog type that shows the instantaneous MPG and the ability to quickly determine rate of change by a sweeping needle is ideal. That is one of my favorite items in my TCH.

Most GM vehicles have this screen when you scroll through all of the information status screens.

Pretty bad it almost a copy of gm, just hope there wouldn't be any conflict with this two companies, but read nice review with it.
