Default Solar panel forum

Hi all. I'm having a hard time finding a message board for people who use solar panels to power their homes or bussineses. I'm thinking of installing a small system on my roof. Thanks.

My sister in LA is having solar put on her roof-they get state help to do so. I'll let her know you are on here. There has to be tons of sites on solar, keep looking. LL

Thanks Dogzen. I've become very interested in solar panels lately. In addition to hooking up a system in my house, I'm thinking about attaching a cell to my luggage rack on the back of my MG Midget to give my battery extra juice. I also work a small museum gift shop and would like to start selling education kits and toys with built in solar cells.

SRM Energy has for over 10 years been specializing in solar (both thermal and photovoltaic) and wind power products. We service everything we sell. We have seen scores of companies come and go, but we have consistently been here to take care of our customers. We supply good quality, low-priced renewable energy systems - proving that renewable power need not cost the earth. We've provided you very comprehensive alternative energy products, including complete systems, solar power panels, wind power generators, mini-hydro electric, inverters, batteries and controls. Our mission is to demonstrate that green energy is genuinely viable, whether you are living on or off grid - and that renewable energy can be a sound financial investment, as well as a sound investment in our future.

Cool Re: Solar panel forum

Check out my and BadFrog's Escape Hybrid's.

We put 2-Unisolar 32 watt panels on the roof (64 watts max total). I have the USF-32's and he has the PVL-32's. We are experimenting with how best to use the power. We both have a Xantrex C-35 charge controller w/display so we can track Ahrs accumulated. BadFrog has a seperate Deep Cycle battery and a 1.5kw inverter.. I have mine wired into the main 12v battery (Switched to an optima deep cycle). Lets see how much power we really get here in Michigan with our weather. I will be happy to get 10 Ahrs/day. Not much but better than nothing.

I am starting a do-it-yourself solar power forum that goes along with my blog as I install my system if anyone is interested.

I know there are a few other solar power forums out there now but this one is for the Do-It-Yourself-er.

Thanks,
SolarDave
