I thought about this by reading the 'you know your a real hybrid owner' thread.

Heah, you don't have to pick between these today. I have two 60 lb Labs, and the thought of them in a car just didn't work. I was estatic to see the FEH: a great combination of fuel economy and SUV room.

I'm still explaining to
adults how the hybrid works!
The best way to get people interested in this technology is by showing it to them. I recently had the opportunity to drive some of my coworkers, and took this as a time to tell them about the hybrid. I started by 'warning' them that the engine will quit at stoplights. This got the interest perking. It usually resulted in explaining the full hybrid technology.
The other way to introduce the topic is bragging about gas mileage. My workplace is heavy with SUVs and Minivans. When I tell peole that I get 33mpg in an SUV, they're
very interested.
I can see the future of Hybrids in these type vehicles. People need the room for multiple reasons, and like the idea of stopping at the pump less often.
