I've always had a fondness for roadsters and figure someday I might end up with one, maybe as a second car.

I thought maybe Subaru was onto something with their concept car, the B9 Scrambler. They only state that it will get "remarkable" gas mileage and will be a U-LEV. Horsepower is expected to be about 140, but I don't know if that's a synergy measurement between the sequential series hybrid motor and the engine ... but what I found interesting was that it was reported that it would rely more heavily on the electric motor up to 80 km/h.

I know this is a bit old news ... they showed it at the 2003 Tokyo Auto Show.

Interesting car. Very... simple. I haven't seen any news on it lately, though.

I would LOVE a Hybrid Roadster! Any auto manufacturer making one a reality SOON?
