Default Take a tour of the western US, 60 miles at a time.

My friends gregh and his fiancee Amy are moving from Austin to New Zealand. The first leg of their move consisted of a tour of the US west in gregh's Honda Insight (upgraded with cruise control).

They stopped every 60 miles to take a picture, and to get some stretching in, I imagine.

gregh made this nifty Google Maps-based tracklog of the journey, too:

Wow, that's incredible. I like how your friends incorporated local scenery and signs into their pictures. Looks like they had fun!

My friend and I are making a much smaller roadtrip after Christmas from Atlanta to Chicago in my HCH. This will be in interesting experience, because my friend is the most notorious speed demon I've ever met, and I've learned to drive like an absolute granny this past half-year. I think when I bleed off speed DWL up hills, he will probably reach over and try to choke me.

I was thinking just now about making an every-60-mile log like your friends did, but the first thought that popped into my head is how much all that braking and stopping for each picture must hurt FE.
