Vanity plate
I just had to share this with the group. This is my brand new vanity plate for my '06 Civic Hybrid. I am in the IT field including lots of work dealing with wireless networking and technology and, as you might know, wireless-N or -N is still in the draft stage so the common name of this is still "draft -N" and what better way to note this. We are limited to 6 characters here in PA so this barely fit the bill.
Hopefully some of you will get a kick out of this so let's start up the list of your own vanity plate or entries of your favorites for a Hybrid vehicle.

--> Averaged 685 miles/week and 49.0 mpg in first year (35.7k miles from Aug 7, 2006 to Aug 7, 2007)

Re: Vanity plate
Nice plate. However, when I first saw it - my initial thought was that you like to draft tractor trailers. Anybody else think that too?

Re: Vanity plate
Ditto.
My wife has "LES CO2". It isn't nearly as obnoxious to me as her previous themes of hockey layer and figure skater names.

Re: Vanity plate
I understand the folks at CleanMPG have decided that drafting is not something they endorse. I don't know the details but read about it in a recent posting. You might post your vanity plate picture over in CleanMPG and get their opinion. You may see some pretty direct statements against the idea that plate expresses but as long as we're all discussing concepts, facts and data, all is good.
My vanity plate reads "C52MPG" which matches my signature. You might want to think about a future vanity plate like "I-PACE" or "SAVGAS" or "LO-GAS". There are many combinations that work that don't advocate a driving practice that could lead to meeting police officers, tow truck and service personnel, insurance agents and medical personnel.

Re: Vanity plate
My reaction to the plate was very different from the previous posters. I thought you were saying NO to the idea of drafting our young folks for this "bleep, bleep" of a situation in the Middle East.
To get this thread back on topic, I am wondering how many other Hybrid car owners have vanity plates?

Re: Vanity plate
LOL. That would have been "NO-DRFT" or "N-DRAFT" ... unless you are a fan of obscure data processing techniques like "reverse Polish" notation. <GRINS>

Re: Vanity plate
RPN. Like those old Hewlett Packard calculators.
"6" "enter" "3" "enter" "4" "+" Answer "13" is displayed.
Back on topic - no vanity plate for me. I don't need the wrath of the hybrid-haters.
Most we can't convert anyway (they have to feel the pain in their own wallets).
One-on-one with a co-worker - I have a much better chance of one of them being open to learning.

Re: Vanity plate
I wish I could find the picture that we snapped on the cell phone. Worst plate on the back of a bright yellow Hummer H2 "GLBLWRMR".
I feel so proud to live in Detroit some times.
