Did you mean TCH, or hybrids? If you meant TCH, that would be because this is the general discussion forum, which isn't about the TCH. If you meant hybrids, it's normal ebb and flow. Colder weather for people who have such weather post less, because the MPGs are down. (For instance, it's snowed the last 4 days here, with a high of 35; not a recipe for great MPGs.) In addition, things are slowing down a bit as there's not so many new people asking questions.
When it warms up and gas prices spike, activity here will shoot up.
I've had my HCH I for three years now, and I'm actually starting to get bored with it.
Back then, I really thought by now there'd be a 6sp Accord Coupe, or a Solara or Lexus SC 430 hybrid, but no such luck. I wouldn't mind getting a new car, but the Camry and Altima are too big for my taste. I get excited about the prospect of a hybrid Supra... but with all of these potential cars, it will mean an mpg drop from my 48.8 hybrid Civic. I'm sure Insight owners feel the same way.
. . . Where the hell is the next generation of hybrids?
Could you be a little more specific? I'm thinking of the Nissan hybrid, GM's green SUV, a new Lexus hybrid and the Camry hybrid. To me, it looks like new hybrids are showing up and in the case of the Toyotas, there are incremental improvements in the drive systems.
Is there something in particular you are looking for?

I think he meant next generation technology.
The NAH uses Toyota Lease tech and is only available in 5 states or so, GM's GreenLine still won't be out until late this year, and then only on it's largest vehicles as is, the Lexus and Camry aren't exactly big impact hybrids either.
Things like PHEV, an Insight replacement small vehicle with high FE, etc. They seem to be right on the edge, but they seem to be staying there.
Or maybe he just meant new exciting hybrids. In which case, nevermind.
