Default What hybrid has the "SMUGGEST" owners?

Just curious to see what hybrid has the smugiest owners. I'll shut up what my real opinion is but as far as the highest ratio I honestly think it's Insight owners, but then again it could loosely translate over to they (we) are just passionate about our cars. That doesn't mean there isn't more with other makes, some other makes have more cars on the road which equals many more smuggy people.

Remember, we are all one big happy hybrid family in the end.

'00 Insight "Wazabi" -75,000+ miles
'03 Toyota Matrix - 81,000+ miles

"I'm very secure with my little Insight, no Prius envy here."

Default Re: What hybrid has the "SMUGIEST" owners?

I have to go with my instincts and vote purely on local "bumper sticker smuginess." All the Insight owners around me (ok, the few) just hop in their cars and zip around town like anyone else. Certain owners of a vehicle not to be named tend to take it a step above and beyond by creating a rolling billboard for Earth, oil, and Tibet.

Not that it matters to me, of course. This is all in good fun.

Rigger,

Have you gone over "to The Dark Side" with this poll?

I expect us Insight drivers to "win" since it is the most "Anti-Hummer" vehicle out there.

I had a bad job once where some of of us were killing ourselfs while some were not putting an effort at all. Are the overachievers "smug"or frustrated? That could be a matter of opinion. The non-acheviers simply did not care, were stupid, or both.

Back to the highway - there are numerous examples of drivers that obviously are not paying attention to driving for safety or decent fuel economy (read: not to the exteme of hypermiling). It does not take that much effort to drive safely or to get decent FE. I'll suggest the really smug drivers are the ones I've pointed out that seem to think they can drive in a trance or on a rampage.
