Exclamation What if I buy 2 Hybrids this year?? Double Tax Credits?

We just got the Civic Hybrid last month and now are shopping for a second car-probably an SUV or larger sedan.

I'd like to get a Hybrid but I am wondering if we are eligible to take 2 tax credits in one tax year?

Does anyone know????

Thanks!

Michael

Sounds reasonable to me.....but we're dealing with the IRS, mind you, and reason has nothing to do with taxes. I'd certainly check with a professional if that's the sole motivation.

It's certainly not the sole (or soul) reason-but I it does offset the Hybrid MSRP penalty we all pay.

Okay I answered my own question...Just looked at the IRS tax form and it has columns for up to 3 vehicles and allows you to add more if required.

So I can get 2 tax credits! (assuming no AMT-GRRRRRR )
